Hello fellow hubbers, I know most of you don't really know about Nigeria's entertainment world and movie industry (Nollywood). Not to worry, am here to always present them to you. I will like to share with you guys a movie I watched two years back at the cinema. The name of this movie is "THE FIGURINE" (Araromire). Though an old movie released in late 2009 it was one of the best Nollywood movies that won up to five awards at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) IN 2010. The movie was written by Kemi Adesoye, produced and directed by Kunle Afolayan who is also starred in the movie. Other costars include Ramsey Noah, Omoni Oboli, Jide Kosoko, Funlola Aofiyebi- Raimi and Wale Adebayo.

The movie is in a typical African setting, the language mainly used is the Yoruba language but subtitled in English language. The story goes this way, three friends (a girl and two young men) were deployed in the same village where they are to serve their country after college. Incidentally, they come across this sculpture abandoned in a deep forest while camping. One of them decides to go home with it. Unknown to them this sculpture was the goddess of the village and had a legend said to bring good-luck to anyone touched by it for seven years and disaster in the following seven years. So it was for these two friends.

Dear friends, I will like you to watch this movie and find out more of the mystery of the found sculpture. I will bring more to you from nollywood.
